"Tree injection has been around since da Vinci and it hasnt changed much since then," says David Floyd. "You drill a hole and inject fluids that kill pests and do other good things." |
| Charged with fixing the technologys lingering problems, David designed a device that would make a space cowboy proud. |
| "It takes all the guess-work out of tree injection," he says. He solved one big problem with a gauge that measures fluid pressure under the bark. "You can actually watch the tree take the fluid in and stop before you damage it by injecting too much," he says. |
| Arborjets "plant microinjection system" also makes smaller holes that heal over quickly so the bad guys cant return after the sheriff leaves town. |
