Copywriting, information architecture for Fidelity intranet
Business challenge
The interactive agency at Fidelity Investments needed an information architect and Web writer to work on the company intranet. With about 25,000 employees, Fidelity Investments is the largest mutual fund company in the United States and one of the largest financial services companies in the world.

What I did
I first helped to design the user interface for a new discussion area on the intranet, then wrote text and link labels for it. A straightforward information architecture project followed: structuring a sub-site where employees could learn to improve their business development skills. Both projects inspired me to propose and develop a questionnaire that helped employees plan new areas on Fidelity's intranet

Impact
Both the discussion area and the business development site passed inspection higher up, but got mothballed for unknown (to me) "internal" reasons. My Intranet Site Planner was posted to positive reviews, so I heard.

High point: Building support for the Intranet Site Planner--it filled a real need!
